The title says it all: we’re opening up B-Boy classes starting in May – and it’s the first group dance class at Studio 23 open to guys and girls! This is a 3-Month Course and is meant for beginners (no dance experience necessary).

B-Boy Kids (Saturday 4.30 - 5.30 p.m.):
Pick up some basic B-Boy dance moves and keep fit through play! Learn to feel and interpret music and develop balance, confidence and coordination. It’s a great way to learn independence, and also how to express yourself through music and movement! There will be a regular mini-showcase to show off your skills to your parents!

Kids aged 5-8 will be able to join our kids’ class. Kids below 5 and above 10 will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

B-Boy Adults (Friday 3.00 - 4.30 p.m.):

Learn classic B-Boy moves like top-rocking and freezes, along with dance fundamentals. You won’t learn choreographies, but you’ll learn how to chain different techniques together to make your own style!

It’s a great cardio workout, but you won’t have to worry about doing anything crazy – we won’t be teaching power-moves just yet!

Our Instructor:

The B-Boy classes at Studio 23 will be led by none other than Kuching’s own Daus! At just 20 years old, he is one of the leading influences in the local B-Boy scene, as well as one of its best dancers and most prolific competitors! He has won first place in several competitions, such as Swinburne’s Got Talent, the Floor Mania 1 on 1 and the Saberkas Dance Championship; and performed for Pullman, Celcom, Maybank, Petronas and Swinburne, among others.

A natural performer, Daus is known for his great stage presence and his imaginative and innovative style!
